Take-back of packaging

Since the German Packaging Act (VerpackG) came into force, manufacturers and distributors of packaging and packaged goods have been obliged to take back and recycle packaging materials after use.

In its corporate guidelines, the CVH Group has committed itself to both sustainable, future-oriented development and responsible conduct as part of the Responsible Care initiative in the chemical trade. In order to efficiently implement the take-back and recycling obligations in this regard, solutions have been developed in collaboration with other companies in the chemical industry, the VCI (German Chemical Industry Association) and the VCH (German Chemical Trade Association). Packaging typically generated in private households is licensed under dual systems and is collected from households. For industrial and commercial packaging, however, material-specific take-back organisations are commissioned to organise collection and recycling.

The industrial reusable packaging we supply consists of hire/deposit containers, which we take back in accordance with the requirements of the dangerous goods regulations. As a member of the Chemical Trade Deposit Association for reusable chemical packaging, we avoid unnecessary waste and ensure the reuse, recycling and, ultimately, the proper disposal of the containers.
