We view sustainability as an ongoing process of development – social, environmental and economic. It is firmly embedded in our corporate philosophy and throughout the entire value chain. We are convinced that only by taking responsibility can we make a positive contribution to the environment, society and economic cooperation.

Social responsibility

Our actions are guided by ethics, morality and legal integrity. Compliance with legal regulations and internal compliance guidelines is a matter of course for us. Furthermore, we actively promote the professional development of our employees and create a supportive, safe working environment.

We also invest in the society of tomorrow, for example by supporting environmental projects and initiatives for children and young people. 

This approach is reflected in four key areas of action:

Environmental protection

Sustainability starts with our products: we are constantly exploring ways to reduce, substitute or optimise our use of chemicals. State-of-the-art measurement and dosing technologies help us to use resources efficiently, from the warehouse through to delivery and during use at your premises.

Our own fleet, equipped with modern vehicle technology and the Fleetboard system, enables the safe transport of hazardous substances with the lowest possible CO₂ emissions.

Health and Safety

The responsible handling of chemicals is at the heart of our day-to-day work. We therefore provide regular training for our staff to ensure both their safety and the protection of the environment.

Rigorous safety measures in transport, packaging and dispensing systems guarantee the highest standards throughout the entire supply chain.

Product safety

Product safety is essential to us. We continuously monitor the use of critical substances and develop innovative packaging solutions that are both safe and efficient. We are always happy to offer advice, whether on technical matters, the handling of hazardous substances, or the optimisation of your processes. 

“Together. Sustainable.” is not just a trend for us, but both a commitment and a driving force. Our participation in the VCH (Verband Chemiehandel e.V.) Responsible Care programme and the voluntary disclosure of our sustainability measures under the DNK (German Sustainability Code) demonstrate this commitment. Through holistic thinking and responsible action, we make our daily contribution to a future worth living.

Support for social projects

Plan International

Each of our sites regularly sponsors a child in a developing country and supports them until they reach the age of 18.

 

Adopting bee colonies

Promoting biodiversity: Like many other insects, the honeybee population is under threat and has declined by up to 75% over the past 40 years, with consequences for both humans and animals. As part of this initiative, each of our sites has adopted a bee colony and ensures its care and maintenance.

Moments of Happiness Ltd

The association Glücksmomente, an association for the promotion of equine-assisted therapy and education, was founded in late 2012 as a labour of love by Andrea Meyer. The non-profit association offers children in serious crisis situations a safe haven over the long term.
